This stunning desktop or wall mounted kinetic sculpture is truly an unusual art piece that is certain to attract the attention of viewers in any setting.  Eclipse is part of my eSeries collection in that it is driven by a computer-controlled mechanism to produce unpredictable and captivating visual patterns. Amidst the sculpture’s simplistic, graceful and meditative movement, the sophisticated drive mechanism smoothly moves each pattern wheel through more than 19,000 positions during each and every rotation!

In Eclipse’s desktop configuration, the low voltage electric cord is connected to the underside of the sculpture and is discreetly hidden in a braided sheath around one of the three stainless steel legs.  In its wall mounted configuration, the low-voltage electric cord can be hidden using a cord cover or the cord can be totally concealed by fishing the cable inside the wall between the floor and sculpture location. The low-voltage adapter can be plugged into any household outlet and draws about the same power as a cell phone charger.

Eclipse’s construction is comprised of meticulously crafted and finished solid maple and aluminum.  Maple components are covered with multiple layers of polyurethane to protect it against moisture and ultraviolet light.  The aluminum pattern wheels come with a standard black polymer coating and can be custom colored at an additional charge.
