Summary of my Kinetic Sculptures.
Each kinetic sculpture is designed and constructed entirely by myself. They are crafted using imported laminated birch wood and various metals.
Most of my sculptures are mechanically propelled for hours by a wound spring, but in response to requests from commercial clients, I have recently added electric sculptures to my portfolio.
As the sculpture slows, it receives an intermittent 'push' from either the spring or the electric motor. Soft clicking sounds can be heard as the sculpture rotates.
As an engineer that enjoys working with the forces of nature, my sculptures are an expression of melding physics, color and form designed to arouse the curious, stir up intrigue, or to simply bring a smile.
